I have worked, for many years, managing significant technology implementations, many within the Financial Services sector.
Over the last few years I have been directly involved in starting a number of new businesses including one in media (podcasting) and another in Property. I have also been the COO of a 50 person technical consulting company.
My time is now split equally between working as an interim manager in larger organisations and working with startups and rapidly growing businesses.
I am constantly connecting with new businesses and people with ideas for new products. I work with entrepreneurs to help define their proposition, author business plans, gain funding and develop their business from a startup to something that can be invested in.
Current new opportunities include:
-- RFID applications in logistics and farming. Additionally, the protection of privacy around RFID tags.
-- A new business in the sector of Sustainable Scotland. No more details at the moment...
-- A new business in the transport/corporate entertainment space that will go live later this year.
Opportunities I'm looking for, or looking to create, are:
-- Implementing an online shop importing products to Scotland and the UK.
-- Exporting renewable energy solutions and equipment to the Far East.
